An in-depth course that guides learners through conducting a Hazard, Risk, and Vulnerability Assessment (HRVA). HRVAs are priority component of emergency management programs and are used to assess the risk of hazards: their potential to cause an emergency or disaster.

With an HRVA, communities are able to make risk-based choices to address vulnerabilities and to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from a range of hazard events. Step-by-step instruction and practical activities will take you through HRVA process beginning to end.
